Familiar Surroundings
By the third night of travel, the Regulators locate the jungle cabin maybe 12-14 miles from the Temple of Ketephys, but bodies worn from working their way through the jungle, and saught rest next to a warm fire and more protected shelter getting a decent night’s rest, and best of all, avoiding combat.
Sunday, Sarenith 16th, 4719 AR
Temple of Ketephys
The party made their way to the Temple of Ketephys just before noon on their fourth day of travel. Stopping for a short rest, talking with the Ekujae Guardians, getting some mending by their healer, and continuing on through the aiudara, Huntergate.
Huntergate Demiplane
The familial hot demiplane where the party first experience the Vision of Dahak, though nothing this time through, there were hints of it’s return.
Home Sweet Home
Returned home, the Regulators ate more rations, as there was nothing to consume within the citadel, as no staff was there to oversea stocking of the food stores, cooking, cleaning, etc., just the noise from the Bumblebrashers that appeared to take over the servants quarters as their own. The party, tired and weary from their travels, took a good night’s rest.
Moonday, Sarenith 17th, 4719 AR
Debt to Pay & Hired Help
In the morning, the Regulators first met with the Breachill Council to settle their debt (1078gp), though were able to smooth talk their way in clearing it with the rough gold bar (worth 1000gp). Additionally, the party inquired about hiring help at the Citadel, which the Town Councilor Melma Ann Sendari recommended to someone she knew as a former Headmaster, and his crew. In total it would cost the party $500gp for the three of them (Head Servant, Servant, and Cook), which the party agreed to, and arranged for them to travel to the Citadel in two days time.
Quarters & Bits
The afternoon was spent at market with Crink Twiddleton at Quarters & Bits selling and purchasing goods; restock ammunition, upgrade weapons, other trinkets, and potions. Crink Twiddleton is always appreciative of your business, noting he may have some more uncommon items coming into the shop now that there’s adventurers purchasing more goods.
Commotion at the Bazaar
A woman bound and gagged being roughed up by some big thugs at the Breachill Bazaar caught the interest of PCs as they came around the street corner. That woman turned out to be Voz Lirayne, and her assailants were members of the Scarlet Triad, an organization known throughout the Inner Sea Region. The Regulators killed one of their members, capturing another, while yet another got away. The captured Scarlet Triad member did reveal some information for his own life:
- He’s a member of the Scarlet Triad, a regional organization with thousands of members.
- Voz Lirayne owes his group lots of money and information about the elf gates.
- More members will come if she doesn’t deliver.
Safety of Information
Back at the Reliant Book Company, the party helped Voz Lirayne recoup from their encounter with the Scarlet Triad, she revealed their symbol to the party whilst in her study, and mentioned that they’re likely Laslunn’s men. Noting Laslunn is a less than scrupulous former business partner who apparently wants to be repaid three times over with interest, or otherwise deliver the location of the Elf Gates, and quickly follows up “which he’s not getting!” She believes there are more agents and paid spies infiltrating Breachill at this point, so to be on guard, and not to trust just anyone in town.
