Oathday, Sarenith 27th, 4719 AR
Green Dragon Pillar
Trekking through the Jungle all day, detoured by a small ravine causing the party to travel around several miles, they were getting close to calling it for the night to set up camp as they came into a clearing where they were confronted by the Green Dragon Pillar. Gerhard couldn’t contain his excitement, to find another Dragon Pillar, the sound of coins flowing made his perfect white toothy smile visible to all underneath his curled mustache, exclaiming”Eureka!” in a loud boisterous scream. What quickly ensued though was an attempted ambush by some Cinderclaws lying in wait, followed by two large Jungle Drakes, though overall wasn’t terribly difficult with the help from their new companion and famed explorer, who was quick to extract his journal, taking notes about what transpired and how he slayed the dragon!
The Dark of Night
The Regulators setup camp nearby, served a nice hearty meal by Gerhard Pendergrast, and able to use the nearby wellspring to refill their water, it was a nice reprieve from the constant battle, heat, and never ending mosquitoes. They turned in to get an early start in the morning, with Jegan wrapping up his watch around midnight, awakening Gerhard Pendergrast who was on second watch. In the morning te party awoke to Gerhard Pendergrast missing along with all of his belongings, making the party question why he would simply abandon the party in the dark of night, and leaving them without watch?
Fireday, Sarenith 28th, 4719 AR
Demonic Temple
The Regulators come upon a structure in the distance upon a cliff, recognizing this as some type of larger structure resembling a temple with nothing else around, the party made their way to the base of the small cliff. Bru’shlee swiftly scaled the craggy vine-covered cliff-face, tying off a rope at the top, while Jegan cast a well placed grappling hook as well, each aiding the remaining party up the cliff-side. Once atop the ledge, they made their way into the ruined temple through the open balcony, lit through cracks in the arched stonework ceiling, and discovered Gerhard Pendergrast preparing explosive power-kegs to blow the temple. Kane was slowly realizing that this isn’t a demonic temple, but one devoted to the deities Desna and Gozreh, leading to question why Gerhard Pendergrast wanted to destroy it!?
Moving quickly into position to attempt to confront Gerhard Pendergrast, only to have him fire his flaming blunderbuss against the group and doing a lot of damage to all but Jegan, all while yelling “You shouldn’t have come friends, this doesn’t concern you!“. Perplexed by the mixed messaging from joining the party to now this, the party struggled with why this was happening, only to realize he wasn’t being totally honest with his intentions and reasons. The battle went back and forth, but quickly turned once Bru’shlee was able to trip Gerhard Pendergrast, the party was able to subdue him by binding his hands and feet.
